Delaware CNA Training

All Certified Nursing Assistant training in Delaware must be approved by the Delaware Department of Health and Social Services, Division of Long Term Care Residents Protection . Training consists of 150 hours, split evenly between classroom study and supervised clinical hours, which must be followed by 80 hours of orientation once employed. This is beyond the national requirements and as a result, CNAs in Delaware are highly prepared to enter the field as a Certified Nursing Assistant.

Certified Nursing Assistant License in Delaware

In order to become certified as a Nursing Assistant in Delaware, students must take the national Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) exam through D & S Diversified Technologies, LLP and it costs $136. A license must be renewed every two years, which requires sixty-four hours of employment in “nursing related activity” over the previous two years. Renewal is free.
