To enter a North Dakota LPN to BSN program one must be dedicate to three years of intensive study. Application requires both good grades in previous training and recommendations from current employers.
Once accepted, course work focuses on building knowledge of advanced nursing theory, practices, and concepts, as well as allowing the opportunity for specialization in a variety of areas, such as public health and third world nursing, through elective course offerings. And upon completion of required course work with satisfactory grades, one receives a Bachelor of Science, Nursing, and takes the RN licensure exam—the NCLEX-RN. The North Dakota Board of Nursing charges an application fee of $130, which includes a criminal background check, and then students pay $200 to exam administrators Pearson Vue. Close to 85 percent of applicants receive a passing grade on their first attempt and emerge prepared to work as an RN with a BSN or pursue a graduate degree.
