How to Do a LPN to RN Program in Missouri

Previous grades and workplace recommendations are the two most important factors considered upon application to an LPN too RN education program in Missouri. After acceptance, courses mostly focus upon increasing a student’s knowledge of nursing processes and management skills, while also including some general studies in the liberal arts and sciences to give students a broader understanding of patient communication and psychology among other things. This prepares students for the National Council Licensure Examination, Registered Nurse (NCLEX-RN), which costs $200 to take through Pearson Vue and requires application to the Missouri Board of Nursing at a cost of $45. Successful graduates—close to 90 percent of students pass the NCLEX-RN—are prepared to earn significantly more money and take jobs that greatly increase their responsibility in the workplace.
