Arizona CNA Training

With over 100 CNA training programs in the state of Arizona, from high schools to colleges and community centers, there are many options for Certified Nursing Assistant training throughout the state. A high school diploma or GED is generally required, and some schools also require a score of 75% or better on the HESI, or Health Education Systems, Inc exam. Training takes a minimum of 120 hours, split between classroom work and supervised clinical practice.

Certified Nursing Assistant License in Arizona

The Arizona State Board of Nursing governs CNA licenses in the state. The application costs $50 and you must first complete and pass a 120 hour training program, which typically requires a score of 75% or better on a written exam and 80% or better on a practical exam.  A CNA license in the state must be renewed after two years, and the individual renewing must work at least 160 hours as a Certified Nursing Assistant in the previous two years in order to be eligible for renewal.
