Nevada, NV - RN to BSN Nursing School Program

Working Registered Nurses in Nevada who chose to take an ADN can still get a bachelor’s degree later on through an RN to BSN education program, which offers online and evening courses so they can continue to work while pursuing studies. NLN Nursing Acceleration Challenge Exams are another benefit to the program, which allow students with on-the-job knowledge to pass by courses that focus upon stuff they have already learned through work experience. This means they can complete a BSN quickly and in a way that is convenient to their current situation—not a bad way to upgrade one’s education at all.

To apply to an RN to BSN program, one must provide transcripts from previous RN training and employer recommendations. Accepted students take a variety of courses that advance their knowledge of nursing practice, theory and concepts and are able to choose from a diverse selection of electives that consider specialized topics and issues related to nursing, like public health nursing, pharmaceutical research, legal issues in health care, and others—these course offerings tend to vary based on the expertise available in a particular college of nursing. To graduate, one needs at least a 2.5 GPA, higher in some cases. And upon graduation students immediately reap the benefits of newfound knowledge and skills, moving up the ladder in their current workplace and opening the door to many opportunities both within and outside of direct patient care settings.
