How to Take an LPN to RN Program in Montana

To apply to a Montana LPN to RN program, grades in LPN training and workplace recommendations are the two most important factors. During the program, courses focus upon nursing processes and management skills, while also including some general studies in the liberal arts and sciences. The ultimate goal is to equip students with the necessary information to take the National Council Licensure Examination, Registered Nurse (NCLEX-RN). The test is administered by Pearson Vue, costs $200 to take, and requires application to the Montana Board of Nursing at a cost of $100. It is the last step in a Montana LPN to RN education program, and once passed—as do 85 percent of candidates in the state—graduating nurses find they have opened doors to many occupational opportunities that were once closed.
