Maryland CNA Training

CNA training is widely available by Maryland Board of Nursing and there are many opportunities for scholarships and funding. Courses in the state consist of a minimum of 100 hours of training, split between the classroom and hands-on clinical training. However, training courses in the state often run longer to ensure optimal training is achieved. Once training is complete, it is possible to pursue further certification such as the 60-hour Certified Medicine Aide course and Dialysis Technician, among others. CNA License in Maryland

The Maryland Board of Nursing handles CNA certification within the state. After completing an approved training program, The Maryland CNA test consists of a two-part test including a written or oral examination, and a skills demonstration test. Testing is done by Pearson Vue who also offer practice exams. The test costs $95 plus a $20 endorsement fee. Once one has successfully passed the CNA exam and registered with the Maryland CNA registry, certification must be renewed every two years at a cost of $40.
