Once enrolled in an LPN to RN program, general studies in math, psychology and the humanities complement core nursing courses, which are concerned with both conceptual and practical knowledge. They then take the National Council Licensure Examination, Registered Nurse (NCLEX-RN), which carries a $110 application fee paid to the Kentucky Board of Nursing and a $200 examination fee paid to Pearson Vue .
